Being alone at Christmas doesn’t have to mean being lonely. Whether it’s by choice, distance or circumstance, this little book helps you make the season peaceful, joyful and meaningful, just for you.
“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”
Luke 2:11 · KJV
Everything we make starts here. The candles, the cocoa, the paper chains and the gifts are lovely, and they point to something lovelier still: God came near, as a baby in a manger, so that we could come near to Him.
The Advent wreath is one of the oldest ways families keep that story at the centre. Light one candle each Sunday, read the verse together, and let the light grow week by week until Christmas.
“The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.”
Isaiah 9:2 · KJVLight the first candle at supper and read Isaiah 9:2–7 together.
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
Isaiah 9:6 · KJVWrite a note of peace to someone you have quarrelled with this year.
“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.”
Luke 2:10 · KJVSing one carol after the reading, as loudly as the little ones like.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16 · KJVWrap one gift for someone who will not be expecting it.
“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”
Luke 2:11 · KJVLight every candle, the white one last, and read Luke 2:1–20 aloud.
Share a blessing, a hope, a prayer or a happy Christmas memory, and read what friends near and far have written.

Where the wreath came from, what each candle means, and a simple way to start the tradition this year with whatever candles you already have.
Supper by candlelight, the Christmas story read aloud in nine short parts, one carol between each, and a quiet walk to look at the stars.
A handwritten letter, an afternoon of your time, a jar of shortbread. Gifts that say “I thought of you” without adding to the pile.
Cosy Christmas Studio began at a kitchen table, with a pot of tea, a box of coloured pencils and a wish to make Christmas feel less hurried. We design the things we wanted for our own home: printables that make the season easier to enjoy, gifts that feel personal, and traditions that keep Jesus at the heart of it all.
Many of our goodies are free, because the best things about Christmas always have been. The ones we sell help keep the lights on and the kettle warm.
Merry Christmas, and welcome in.
One warm letter each Sunday of Advent, with that week’s free printable, a reading for the wreath and a recipe to try.
